Half Moon's lament

As night falls and misery begins anew
Half a moon calls to its other half
Oh, she says, why tear us apart
Without you here by my side
Alone I fly above this winter sky

Fear not, whispers the dark
Look not around but within
Do you see that small spark
Shining bright yet covered in doubt
It is me, keeping you warm

Clouds gather as a half a soul cries out
Why bother keeping a broken faith alive
Fate bestowed not the moon with eyes
Yet when rain falls, these tears of sorrow
None can hide…

Night goes on, once again holding on
To a time when faith knew no bounds
So is my fate, to keep on waiting
But a time shall come, the dark whispers
When twilight gone, we shall be whole again..

Thanks Jess, as always, my favourite reviewer. ;p lol. I'll try to write more as from now. that was the first one I wrote in more than a year. I'm glad you liked it.
