~PLEASE READ AND COMMENT I WROTE IT QUICKLY AFTER A NIGHT AT THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER~
Leaning against the white railing
It allowing me not to fall
Wind blowing strands of hair across my face
I stare in the abyss of water
Breathing in the crisp air
Looking at the reflected light in the river
Watching the cars drive across the bridge
I let my thoughts drift with the water
Standing alone in the dark night
My mind racing about everything
Quiet voices heard from a far
I finally decide what I have to do
Walking the opposite direction of simplicity
Making my way to the world unknown
I take several deep breaths
As I allow myself to finally take a chance |
