And you won't be expected to dress nicely when you go to work? Even Meijer and McDonalds requires you to tuck your shirt in.
How vital is it to dress in the clothes that you want to? Are people that shallow that their clothes make up who they are?
Why would it matter that you look like a dork? Everyone else looks like a 'dork' in a school so therefore it wouldn't matter that much. When did we go to school to look cool? |

| You get mad over wearing a uniform? Can you explain exactly why it makes you mad? It's not like you won't ever be forced to wear something you don't like if you attend Church or go into certain professions. |

At my school uniforms are required, tie & blazer.
We have 2 days a week where we must wear the school tie, blazer, pants etc. And for the other 3 we can wear what we call second dress, which we get to choose (so long as it's conservative) I find I wear the school blazer and tie every day regardless, as it just makes it easier for me in the mornings and it doesn't look that bad. I don't believe everyone should be forced to wear the same thing, I support individuality but it just is easier to follow a uniform sometimes. |

| clothes aren't individuality. it is copying what is set as standards by a select few. she wore that top? let's buy twenty of them so we can be cool like she is. |

personally, i like uniforms.
like many people, i can't afford to buy tons of nice clothes. it makes me feel more equal with everyone else. at my school, we can wear makeup and nail polish and jewelry. i don't know if other schools are the same, but if they are, i don't see why people complain if you can just change the accessories in order to still retain your 'individiality' |

| I have horrid fasion taste, so uniforms are pretty good for me. My school's pretty loose on the uniform code too. Just a sport coat, tie, dress shirt, dress pants, and dress shoes. Any colors you like, any tie you like. |
