i think it's just another lame fad like being gay.
and also i think it's just a cry for attention.
but i have no desire to be goth, punk, and/or emo so i don't know the real reason. |

| It's not wrong. It just can get annoying sometimes. All in all I think the look is pretty cool, but I don't use it for myself. |

| Poser is such a great word. Everyone considers me a poser. I don't know what I'm poser of, but if I'm a poser I'm proud of it. Labels are fun. But hey mostly I agree with you. |

i don't know much about it, but sometimes i think it's a little weird...
i go to this school where diversity is extremely high, and is one of the unique characteristics of my school so i see ppl like that all the time
i try not to label ppl just b/c they're different from me, but some things u just can't help but notice.
like the ones at my school they have piercings like everywhere-all in their eyelids, eyebrows, tounges, lips, 50 in each ear
then they wear this extremely dark makeup and stuff-its just that some things just become a little...distracting or very noticeable. i think its cool to be different(at my school u'd have to think like that), but sometimes i worry if cults are being formed b/c that could lead to something way more dangerous than individuality.
i also think it's weird that they can peirce everything on their bodies, but then other kids get suspended when they have one earring in their ear...
i know not everyone who dresses like that is in a cult, but how come they associate every guy who wears one earring with being in a gang???
isn't that institutionalized racism in a way??? |

| It's kind of awkward because well, in the right ear it means you're gay, so everytime I see that I think the guy is gay. |

| That whole piercing on guys being gay is lame. Someone totally made that up. I've seen guys with both ears pierced and they are totally straight. It's just like wearing makeup or having long hair. Anyone can do it, boy or girl, and it has no relation to your sexual preference. On the topic of Goth though...when you look beyond the fashion scene, goth is a movement of music and philosophy that was pretty underground but most popular in the early and mid 80's. Goths tend to be very introspective and intelligent people, and are by no means violent. The black and makeup is their idea of seeing beauty in the extremes...which I think is awesome! |

| That's what I said. Someone made it up. But that doesn't necessarily mean what it mean back then translates into today. |
