One Thread

As with the suggestion on the previous Forum community I was part of (the Maximum Ride Forum, if you wanted to know) I'm keeping all my works in one thread, and for the next few days I'll post my most recent works, starting with this one. I love readers, thanks for taking the time.

One Life

All I really want is to hold you,
In a way I never have before,
You are beautiful,
I want to treat you right,
Better than anyone ever has before.
But I realize that this may not be,
The right way to treat you,
But right now,
It seems to be what we both want,
I’m not sure if we both want it equally,
But it excites me.
I wonder what it will be like,
To have you to myself,
Even if in a way,
That I didn’t originally intend.
If this be the only way to show you,
Of the love I still harbor for you.
Yes it is probably a sick game that we play,
But I’ll take your advice,
And live my life,
While I still have one.
