PS3 or xbox 360? relating to alx's post

My boyfriend just got a ps3 free with his 02 contract(mobile) and still doesn't have a clue how much it cost, therefore i don't have a clue. He has an xbox which i find is more useful but the ps3 does look impressive and seems of just about the same quality although we use the xbox more. Which would you choose?

PS3 is better, sony would say. But then they would.

If you look graphicly then dispite what is said, there is little difference without a great TV (which lets be honest, most people don't have).

360 matches PS3 in both exclusive games, and games generaly, this is because microsoft adapts computer games for console medium, sony does not.

The down side of microsoft is that everything costs, like Xbox live, where as PS3 has a high inital cost, and for additional things (remote guns, extra controlers etc).

Being in Europe I have to say sony's customer suport and after sale survace are terrible, and they take a long time to get anything out. Their products are hardy, but once its broke, it almost always keeps coming back.

The effect of this is Xbox has more development time ironing out the flaws in a launched console, making the stonger PS3 only better later on, which is about the time companies launch a new console.

Personaly, for free I would have the PS3, but when using your own hard earned cash, the 360 is always tempting, I should know, I bought one.
