If you kill someone, you die.

I'd say thats a better deterrent than being put in a gray room.

You have to understand when you kill someone you feel bad for a while, then get over it. The idea that someone will suffer for what they have done for many years is a myth.

Wasting the rest of your life and being killed are pretty much the same to me, and I know that one is a hell of a lot cheaper for the useful, normal, peaceful people who have to carry on society.

How is it right for the pairents of a murdered person to have to pay for the food, clothing and general amenitys of their childs murderer?

Every time they bought a paper or a drink from the shops, Every time they put fuel in their car, every time they go out to eat, they give a bit more for a killer that destroyed the thing closest to their hearts.

You want to talk about right and wrong?
Lets talk about rights and responsibilities.
If you don't honer your responsibilities how can you claim any rights?

I agree with bear! I mean where does it stop? A killer kills... So someone kills them... So they should be killed... So someone kills them... Etc it just goes on and on

Let the army do it. They signed up to kill.

You seem to have very sheltered views on life and death, City kids?

Threats die, humans have taken that line for a good five thousand years. The result, no wolves eating babys.

yes i do, and i know you will say that there is no difference between killing criminals and killing animals, but there is! for one, animals are killed to feed us, and to sustain our mineral intake, whereas killing criminals has no real gain.

So its ok to take the life of an innocent animal but not a gilty human?

We do not need to eat meat to survive, vegans prove this but we do it anyway.

I think you've been commiting double think.

I gotta agree with alx. You'd rather kill some cow who has never done anything but eat grass/wheat/corn/other cows over some man who would kill you if he had the chance? Wonderful. Enjoy your fantasy land with rainbows and butterflies and no one wants to hurt you.

One thing you don't realize... death penalty is usually reserved for the most heinous of criminals... men and women who kill many, many people or do so in a terrible fashion OR where there is absolute proof. If Seung-Hui Cho (Virginia Tech shooter for all you wonderfully sheltered) had not killed himself first before the police got to him, you wouldn't kill him? Even though there was sufficient evidence and many witnesses? You'd rather let a psychopath live?

Once you are old enough to pay taxes, Blondie and Bear, you will get angry at just how much is yanked from your pay to feed these soulless bastards. Men who rape and kill their victims... women who drown their children in bathtubs... teenagers who bring a gun to school and shoot the place up. Any chance of rehabilitation? No? Then what the hell is the point of keeping these people alive?

Oh, and Blondie? Don't insult alx's intelligence. We've never been buddy-buddy but after Asriya, I would consider himself one of the more intelligent lifeforms on this board looking at past posts.

I am religious, yes. But just because I am does not mean that I have to follow my religion like a sheep. I am against taking away innocent life... but I feel that once you take away the rights of others, you no longer have rights.
