| I was thinking of getting a ps3 with some money I saved up from work, but they cost about £420 (the good 60mb ones) do you think i'd be better off geting a 360? |

Yes.
360s are far better in my opinion. They're created by a computer company, which would mean playing computer games on it woulod be better; which it is!
When xbox and PS2 came out, statistically the Xbox was more powerful and as far as I'm aware so is the 360 compared to PS3.
Plus, in my eyes, the xboxes have always had more 'tight-knit' games on it; the Playstations have always seemed to be game whores who'll take almost anything onto their platform. This, in my eyes, makes for better gaming.
Aside from all this, Sony's game consoles have always had a problem with their cooling fans when they're first released that'll cause the console to slow down, become sluggish and eventually break. Personally, I'd wait until the new year for buy one. (Not that I would anyway.) |

Yeah the fans on the PS2 are wank, but I know for a fact that you can piss on one and when you dry it out it'll still work.
You have a point, sony are game whores.
What do you think about the graphic quality gap? |

I'm not totally up to date with the console market as much as I was (Being a student makes one poor and unable to buy sexy things like the Xbox360) but I'd be very surprised if the PS3 had better graphics.
Microsoft (albeit wank OS programmers) are quite good at making powerful graphics cards. |

Tell me about it, i've had every saturday at work for eight months.
Theres not a massive gap at the moment but the 360 has reached its graphic's top level and the PS3 is only at its start graphics.
Having said that I have a crap TV so it shouldn't make that much impact.
How much do the 360s cost? |

I've been workign every sunday for 9 months and often have a theatre commitment every other saturday.
Yeah, I imagine a HD TV would largely show the difference between each platform. I for one and not HD'd yet, so can't confirm (though would like to). I saw a deal at my local Game outlet who are selling Xbox360 and 2 games for £244. Basically, it's cheaper and better than PS3. |

For the last mounth i've been hacking plaster of the walls of a derilict house were working on, that stuff really gets your lungs when the dust comes up.
The house is older than the USA and theres horse hair in the walls. The brick works so shoddy that i've nearly been killed and the whole dump is built on bloody clay. I'd kill for your nice indoor (cause this place is in no way shelter) job.
The only thing thats keeping me going is the fact that after crimbo i'm quiting. |

| Eh, going with Wal-mart, which is always cheaper because they don't work anyone full time, it's $399 for a 40 gig and $499 for an 80 gig. Wal-mart gives people a free game at those prices too. I think they dropped the prices a bit recently to compete with the Wii and the Xbox, though. Wal-mart has the Xbox for $279.92, but I think the other stores sell it for $299.99. |

I'm pretty sure that adaptors don't work for exteded periods of time (the amount that you use a TV or xbox or whatever).
Then again I may have made that up in my mind like I'm prone to doing. |
