I was thinking last night about how the world has changed drastically from a century ago. Not just technologically but many beliefs have been altered to fit todays modern society. Several religious testaments have been ignored nowadays, when back then, they were considered the only way of life. Like for example, I bet back then that being gay wasn't very accepted due to if found out to be gay,one would face possible extreme persecution from local religious folk. To get to the point of this topic, I would like to ask "Do u think that in time, will more ppl ignore marriage and still have parnters of love to the extent that marriage will be forgotten as a possible choice for couples?"

| i believe in marrage...im not overly into it...but i do want to get marrie...have that special celebratory day of the love between you and your partner by your family and friends....plus...idk it just seems right...like i always had that expectation as a little girl (not that i went around in a white dress humming the wedding song but still) and i think its important for children to have married parents |

| Whats the point of marriage, really? If your in a healthy relationship isn't that the only thing that matters? I just think it is too big of commitment and quite overwhelming, It's devoting your life too a whole other person. I personally think It's too much! |

Seems crap to me.
And research shows that in normal human instinct is to only stay together for a year, religion messed that one up.
Yay free love! |

This is what people think love is about these days, the wedding day.
How can people plan there wedding before they meet someone? |

Quite easy. Have your parents arrange a marriage for you. No need to meet the bride/groom until the actual ceremony. |

... back on topic.
Back in the day marriage was often more of a bussiness agreement to unite the wealth of nations than love and it still is today to an extent. (Not exactly on topic but i thought it fit)
People today like to feel connected to the one they love so i don't believe it will ever truley die. It makes love official. It has never been nessacary but people still did it so i see now reason why it won't continue.
And besides, if people stopped getting married what would happen to Vegas? |
