Say goodbye to marriage?

I really don't know how I feel about marriage.
Ironically enough, I'm for gay marriage, but can't ever see myself settling down like that...
But at the same time, I think it goes back to religion.
I think it's designed so you can swear your love to one another, etc. etc, which most people can do these days anyways, though.
I don't know WHO came up with the idea "To have and to behold, to LOVE and to cherish, until death do us part," because most people back in the old times weren't in love, they were forced to be married.
Hell, I'm even a cynic on love at some points in time..
Part of me thinks marriage is bullshit, because of all the legal shit that goes on with it, and getting divorces, etc. etc.
At the same time, I do enjoy the idea of pledging your love to one another in a room full of people, yadda yadda yadda...
Just not for me :]

Marriage is a way of constriction that make sure you don't sleep with anyone else. Like chastity belts. They don't always work, you know.

Anyway, as long as the Church has any say in it, and contrary to popular belief, it really does, marriage ain't going anywhere.

ill get married because i want to share that with someone who i believe would be faithful anyway.

everyone should have the right to marry the person you love (its in our basic human rights) whatever their life choice provided they are two consenting adults
