What is it in your opinion? If I missed any options, stick it a post.

And for the note and letter, I think a note is something you scratch onto a piece of paper where a letter is in depth and takes a little bit of forethought.

texting is so retarded, its like u cant say u dont have a signal, so u can call, but ur not hard enough to listen to her complain after so u text it, and turn off ur cell immediatly afterwards.... wussy...

Anything technological, unless its a long distance relationship, then phone is pretty much the only usuable thing. NEVER IM or note or letter, unless you need to get your thoughts out before you break up with them face to face.
