Lemme rephrase that last statement. We would NOT have insulin had it not been for animal testing (look it up)

And you can get Type 2 diabetes without neglect. It has a stronger genetic basis than Type 1, also. Do some research next time, kiddo.

How about we take out your pancreas and do the tests on you?

No volunteers? Oh. Hmm...

Until you are diabetic and require insulin to live, you have no right to say that the means it was gotten by was wrong.

so the only way i can care or have an oppinion abourt something is to have it directly effect me??

many members of my family are diabetic and me saying that doesnt mean i dont care about them!

but with how advanced science is we can presere human cells and test it on them then test on humans.
there are people who will volunteer for tests but whats the point when theyd rather do it on a pig?
if its not going to make a difference whats the point?

Why don't we use a human. We can test the pancrese while inside a human. We can also keep one alive with modern technology.

Well, hey, you guys can go all bleeding heart on me and cry about animals who don't care whether you live or die, or you can enjoy what science has given us.

I don't think that the animals can understand, we can and that gives us responsability.

i think they should be tested on people!
people need to take responsibility for their own stuff!
im not saying if a person gets cancer or some other disease that its their own fault but its certainly not an animals fault either! why should they pay so we can reap the benefits? what lesson does this spread?
the end justifys the means and it doesnt matter what happens in the process as long as youre not the one suffering

Do rats not feel the same pain as us? Maybe you don't think so but they go through the same pain. They don't even get paid, or volunteer like humans can. They can't talk, and they are the property of the lab. And at the end of their testing, their useless if they have things wrong with them (even if they don't have things wrong with them) and are killed.

Yeah so shut the he** up.

Go ahead. Volunteer yourself. No loss to humanity if you die.

i dont take either side

its good if the testing is for the better for mankind

but definitely there would be approved experiments which is not intended to help mankind
