That's always the arguement any kid brings up that are against wearing uniforms. (I'm not saying this to be mean or offend you)
Random classmate: OH NOES! If we're required to wear uniforms then we won't be able to express our INDIVIDUALITY!!!ONE!!!
Me (thinking): Heh...what is this 'individuality' you speak of? I see none of this in this classroom!!!
Well, it's the truth in a lot of cases. There are those that want to be individual and all that but honestly...perhaps these people are worried about losing their individuality because they have a dull and crappy personality. In my case, when I meet someone I judge them based on their personality/behavior, not on what they're wearing...
So I don't care either way. They're just clothes. I can always wear my own stuff outside of school. |

I used to agree that uniforms shouldn't be allowed, but now I say that they should. Some kids can't afford to spend 100 dollars on an outfit.
Also, kids learn to express creativity other ways. Unless the kids are stupid and lack any imagination, then they won't be turned into mindless robots.
Not to mention that I have gone to a school with uniforms and I've seen public schools with uniforms. The school uniform did cost a lot, but the public school uniform is so basic you could buy them at Meijer or Target for les than twenty dollars.
Uniforms aren't that bad despite what kids think about them. It's actually a lot better than dealing with guys who have shirts long enough to be a dress or pants that need to be held up when they walk. |

| ^^^ Those are a lot of the points I brought up defending my opinion on why schools should have uniforms. It was for that persuasive essay thing you have to write for... |

| Are they pants that you could get at Target and no one would notice the difference? Unless the pants have your school's name stitched down the side, you could just buy a black or khaki pair from a store. |

| I disagree. It's hard on the eyes to see teenagers trying to fit into something that's six sizes too small. |

| Its hard on me to wear a uniform made of fabric that I'm allergic to. All year I had rashes on my legs and when I asked if I could wear different pants they said "No. School uniform." |

| You did explain that it was causing rashes, right? You'd be surprised at the amount of people who fail to mention such things. |
