They only confiscate ours for the day. But they record who's phone it is, and if you get it confiscated more than five times, they'll take it for the week.

A parent has to come and get it at my school. The first time it happened the teacher for 7th grade English told me I couldn't take it. I said bull shit watch me and walked out of the room and onto the bus. Got a I.S.S for that stunt.

If our shirts aren't tucked in its a detention and 3 of those its a I.S.S after that its a detention every time until 6 then its a week O.S.S. I hate this bullshit. I'm suspended right now.

i think it's the schools 'ego' coming into play when punishment like that is served. if you aren't representing the school in a proper, organized fashion, the staff crack the shits and punish.

thing is if you carry it on long enough, they will give up, because if you fail for them giving you too many O.S.S.'s, your parents can take action and sue the school for not giving proper education, and why? 'cause you didn't tuck your shirt in.

either you make them happy, or you wait a few months and make them very unhappy that they're going through numerous lawsuits.

the idea of a child failing a year because he didn't tuck his shirt in is absurd, and the school's gonna be the one to back down. breaking the rules or not, uniform is about representing the school OUTSIDE of the school grounds.
