Why do people fuss over dogs?

I ask this question because I don't see what the big deal is? Why do people dress their dogs in clothes? Why do people make smootching noises and say "aww isn't she soo cute"? Don't get me wrong here, I like dogs, but I don't fuss over them. Dogs don't need to be treated like a human. A dog should be treated like an animal. But one thing I understand when people fuss over dogs is when they are beaten. Now that is wrong, but the fussing over how adorable he/she is is not neccesary. I don't own a dog or any animal, but if I did I would still feel the same way.

lol i think the same way. i mean petting and stuff thats cool but like getting dog clothes! come on? wtf? why should you spend your money for clothes your dog will hate and try to get out of? its stupid. but that is thier money so w/e

I half agree with you. I don't have a problem with saying a dog is adorable (but I cross the line at baby talk to the pet) because its the way we talk about something cute and cuddly. Babies are cute. Little dogs are cute. Kittens are cute. Its how it is.

The only way I'd dress MY dog (if I had one) is if it was a hairless dog and it was cold. Maybe a little sweater. But for entertainment purposes... thats weird. And kinda mean for the dog.

I agree with Jadeeyedgirl. Something just seems wrong to dressing your dogs.

I'm going to say know because I don't dress my dog in clothes... only in the winter and it was because he was all shaved down and my grandma got him a coat....

I think the big deal has to do with the fact that they ARE cute and you cant help but love 'em!

I dunno, maybe ur not an animal person?

Yes i like dogs i had 4 only have 1 left her name is kaila and i dont know what she is yes peple make a fuss over dogs cuz they poop, sheed everywhere and they hate on the puppy getting atention.

I dont know who you were asking if they were an animal person but if you were asking me I am an animal lover. I dont like the fact that people dress dogs up to me its cruel. Unless it was winter and the dog didnt have much fur then I understand that but puttin it on in the summertime or something thats just cruel to me.

I got a indoor tiffany male cat. I carry him around like a a baby. I let him sleep on my bed. He has about 21 toys. But he carries his own weight. He kills flys. lol

I have 4 dogs, and I love them to death. I treat them like princes and princesses... dogs are like children who never grow up.

I speak to my dogs in a baby voice... I can't help it.

In the winter I put sweaters on my chihuahua, so he won't freeze to death. Also, they all wear booties in the winter when I take them for walks. I don't want their pawpads getting raw and cold.

My dogs have loads of toys; They eat people food; They sleep in my bed... they're spoiled!

Though, they are on diets now, due to being morbidly obese.
