1)How many people are in a long distance relation-
ship?
2)If not do you think this is a good idea?

Am I in a long-distance relationship? No, but I was prepared to be in one depending on where he chose to go to college.

Is it a good idea? If you're young, no. If one of the partners will forget about the other, no. If both are prepared to be in the relationship, yes. If the people have met face to face and know each other fairly well, yes.

There can't be a straight yes or no answer for that kind of question.

1) I was in a long distance relationship last year, but not anymore and I'd prefer not to have one in the future, but who knows?

2) It depends on the situation and individuals, really. It has more of a chance of lasting if you're older rather than when you're younger. Most of the time, I'd say no. Most people need contact with this person to keep the relationship going strong...you know, talking face to face, physical interaction, etc.
